VCAD Registration System

VCAD Registration System:

• New here? Type /register yourpassword in the game chat (at least 6 characters). The server checks the account straight away and most new players are approved on the spot, so you can spawn, chat and play right away. No more waiting for an admin to be online.
• New accounts start on probation for their first 5 hours of playtime. While you're on probation you can't send PMs to other players (you can still PM staff), start a vote kick or vote for a base, and the chat spam limits are a bit stricter. Rounds, stats and captures all work from your first minute. Probation ends by itself after 5 hours of playing, and staff can end it earlier.
• Sometimes the server isn't sure about a new account and holds it for a staff member to look at before it can play. You'll get the usual message that your account is pending. That's not a rejection, it just needs a person to check it. Post in the Account Approvals board or ask on Discord with your account ID and someone will sort it out. If a lot of new accounts show up at once (like a bot attack), new accounts are held for a while until it calms down.
• Up to 3 players can connect from the same IP. If you play with family or friends, or from a cafe, and run into that limit, ask staff on Discord and we'll add an exception.
• Accounts that were already approved aren't affected, and all your data and stats stay with your account. If your account is still pending from before, it waits for staff like it always did, so just ask in the Account Approvals board.
• If you're registered but don't log in within 10 minutes, the server renames you to Guest and a random number (for example Guest_1234) so nobody can pretend to be you. Log in and you get your name back. You have 3 password attempts before you get kicked.
• If your account gets rejected, making a new account with a random name won't help, it actually lowers your chances. If you think it was a mistake, you can appeal in the Account Approvals board.

Registration update

We've updated the post above to explain how registering works now. Most new players are approved automatically, so you can play straight away, and new accounts are on probation for their first 5 hours of playtime. If the server isn't sure about an account it's still held for staff to check.

Everything is in the first post. If your account gets held, just ask in the Account Approvals board or on Discord.
