VCAD Update 1.40

Weapon sets (correction to Update 1.39)

• M60 is back to Set 0.
• Set 9 is the default kit: MP5 + Pump Action, issued to every player. It is shown in the DEFAULT panel of the set menu.
• Sets 1-8 are unchanged.

GUI

• Set Selection and Base Voting no longer fill the whole screen. They are now drawn at 85% of the screen size, centred.
• Every set card now shows its set number (SET 01 ... SET 00) at every resolution, including smaller screens.
• Screens under about 1500px wide use the larger-text artwork so everything stays readable.

Lobby

• New lobby sign in the VCAD style: the VCAD crest, VICE CITY / ATTACK & DEFENSE and LOBBY on the front, and VISIT VCAD.THIJN.OVH on the back.

Checkpoint

• The checkpoint is now the VCAD logo: a dark disc with a pink and cyan rim and the VCAD shield on both faces, replacing the old skull.

VCAD Update 1.39

New in-game GUI's

• Set Selection and Base Voting have been completely redesigned in the new VCAD style, with the new VCAD crest.
• Built to work at every resolution, including 640x480. Smaller screens get their own artwork with larger, cleaner text.
• Set Selection: new layout showing every weapon set, quick picks for shotguns, pistols and SMGs, a Current Set panel that shows what you have equipped, and a GO button.
• Base Voting: base previews keep their proper shape, the base you voted for is highlighted (row, vote button and preview), and the radar, health and weapon HUD are hidden while the menu is open.

• MP5 and Pump Action are now the default kit issued to every player. They are shown in the DEFAULT panel of the set menu.
• Update: the set numbering was changed back in Update 1.40. M60 is Set 0 and the default kit (MP5 + Pump Action) is Set 9.

16 September 2026 - Big upgrade

Forum

• Upgraded to the latest SMF version, which is faster and more secure.
• A new look: the Neon Vice theme with our new logo, and it works properly on phones.
• New Events page with upcoming events, past tournaments and the hall of champions.
• A leaderboard and player cards on profiles now show your real in-game stats from the server.
• Add your In-game name and Country in your profile, so your stats and flag show up next to your posts.
• Avatar uploads work again, and the login problems some of you had (mostly on mobile) are fixed.
• "Users Online Today", plus Discord and YouTube buttons in the header.
• Old tournament boards (MAGNA 2.0) moved to Archived Events.

Webstats

• The webstats now match the forum design and work on phones.
• Home page with live server status, latest rounds and all leaderboards.
• New player pages with weapon, body part and multi-kill stats.
• Rounds list with filters, and round pages with team scoreboards and a kill feed.
• Weapon leaderboards for 20 weapons.
• Refreshed user panel and admin panel, plus a few bug and security fixes.

Known issue: event stats on the webstats are offline for now. Tournament results are on the forum Events page.

Your appeal is denied because of the disrespectful language you used towards our staff.

If you wish to appeal again, please submit a new appeal with a proper explanation in your defence, without using any insults or bad language. We expect respectful and mature communication. If you do so, we'll ask admin who banned you to handle the new appeal.

After speaking with Kx and Hazard, it seems there was a misunderstanding between them, especially regarding the context of the message after the Wizz/Hazard situation.

I've unbanned you from both channels, and I hope we won't have any more of these issues. I apologize on behalf of my staff team that you were banned due to a simple misunderstanding. I trust you can understand the situation. As I mentioned before, Hazard was warned for his actions. At most, he should have only given you a temporary timeout if he disliked something, but again, it was a misunderstanding of the context of the ongoing conversation. Thank you for bringing this into our attention Kx.

I want to clarify my involvement in this report. There was no personal agenda for me to step in and handle this situation. I immediately adjusted the ban duration, and frankly, if I were truly defending Hazard, I wouldn't have started investigating in the first place.
Our community is quite small now, with only about 80-100 regular players who typically gather for events. It's truly disheartening to see players getting banned or boycotts happening when our community's numbers have already shrunk so much. To be honest, whether you were banned for 60 days or permanently, it likely wouldn't have made a difference to most; people would have moved on with their lives and the event.
My reason for stepping forward and talking to all of you is because I genuinely want everyone to have a positive relationship and participate in events together. The frustration and anger that sometimes emerge in these situations would be much better channeled into competitive matches, which would uplift the game. It's sad to see our community reach a point where personal attacks involving someone's family are being brought up repeatedly.

After extensive discussions on Discord with both Wizz and Hazard individually, we've reached a decision regarding the recent report. To be honest, I see fault on both sides, not just with one person.
From Wizz's side, using indirect provocation involving family is simply not acceptable. Hazard, on the other hand, is prone to quick anger and tends to ban or punish for very long durations without proper discussion. Wizz was also wrong for a second time by abusing a staff member and using inappropriate language towards them. I've also noticed instances where Hazard mocked Wizz after banning him, which also counts as indirect provocation.
My stance has always been that action and reaction simply destroy the purpose of punishment. If you believe you're being wronged on our server, there's no need for things to escalate to extremes where you take matters into your own hands, only to report the person once a reaction occurs. We encourage players to come forward and present their case. We are happy to listen, understand, and find a better solution together. Why do we always have to wait for extreme situations, making things so complicated that they become difficult to resolve not only for staff but for players as well? We are all adults now, and for both parties, I believe we are much better than this—fighting over silly things and ruining a game we both want to enjoy.

Final Resolution

Hazard will be warned for issuing an excessively long ban without consultation and for removing Wizz from Magna without discussion. This also includes the indirect provocation that occurred after Wizz's ban. That being said, Hazard will be under watchlist by our staff.
As for Wizz, the three-day ban was issued and will stand due to the obvious reasons. The involvement of family, whether directly or indirectly, is unacceptable, and insulting staff is also wrong. After his unban, Wizz will retain his place in Magna and will continue in the tournament. I'll also unban him from both Discord channels. Remember, repeating any of these actions could lead to another punishment, in which case it will be difficult to assist you.

We've reached an agreement between both of you, effective today, that there will be no more provocation or mockery. If you two don't get along, it's best that you don't communicate with each other at all. Stay silent and focus on your playtime. Ignore each other, and there will no longer be any exchange of bad words or anything that provokes another person, directly or indirectly. This applies to both of you. If either of you breaks this agreement, it will not only make things difficult for us as staff to resolve, but this kind of hate builds up and can lead to stupid actions. Let my message be a reminder and evidence of the agreement we had, and this is public so our community is also aware of what we all agreed on.

I'm very happy that we were able to resolve this in a friendly manner, and everyone acted like a sensible person. It's always good to accept your mistakes and learn from them. It's a slow process, but it definitely makes you a better person every day. Good luck for the event to both of you—Wizz for your participation and Hazard for both organization and participation. I hope you enjoy it to the fullest, and we see this peace until the very end.

Hi, I've analyzed the situation and have a few points I'd like to make, along with some questions for you.

First, there was a video accidentally posted on Hazard's YouTube channel featuring a random social media person. Later, some of you claimed this person was a relative or family member. My question is: why is the same photo used on your Discord profile picture, and at the same time, you're indirectly or directly provoking people about being that person's family member, while using vulgar language on the server and Discord? Please don't ask me for direct evidence of names being mentioned; we're all experienced enough in this "game" to understand how things work.

Secondly, you disrespected staff members both before and after you were banned. I'm providing the evidence for this. Please explain these two points, and then we can continue our discussion.

I've adjusted your ban to three days based on the offense and our standard durations. We're also looking into the other part of your report for you.

While we're doing that, please always be respectful towards our staff, even if you believe they've made a wrong decision. We'll always aim to be fair, but reports should be posted respectfully, explaining the entire situation clearly.

It seems there's been a misunderstanding or wrong word choice on Claude's part. What he intended to say was that Frewps' Arabic language skills weren't good. However, his phrasing was misinterpreted, leading you to believe he was mocking all people living in Arab countries.

I understand that mistakes were made on both sides. Claude should have used more appropriate language, especially in such sensitive situations. On your end, even if you misunderstood the message, you shouldn't have insulted his country in return. A better approach would have been to reach out and ask for clarification, or to create a discussion topic about it.
